Health Dimensions Group is proud to announce that Erin Shvetzoff Hennessey has been named the company’s next chief executive officer. She takes over the top leadership position from Sergei Shvetzoff, who has served in that capacity since October 2015. Shvetzoff will continue as chairman of the board of directors.
Minneapolis-based Health Dimensions Group is a leading consulting and management firm, providing services to post-acute, long-term care and senior living providers as well as hospitals and health systems across the nation. Firmly committed to its values of hospitality, stewardship, integrity, respect, and humor, HDG has been serving leading health care organizations for more than 20 years.
During her long tenure at HDG, Hennessey has served in several leadership positions in the areas of operations, business development and consulting. Prior to being named CEO, she was executive vice president of the company’s consulting practice. In her new role she will guide the company’s efforts to offer unmatched care and consulting services to its many valued clients and spearhead the implementation of HDG’s strategic plan.
HDG has recently grown its capabilities to address client needs and challenges in operational performance improvement, revenue cycle, workforce shortages, value-based payment, and marketing and sales. Through consulting and management services, HDG partners with health systems, hospitals, long-term care and senior living communities across the U.S. with the overarching goals of reducing costs, improving health outcomes, and enhancing the patient experience.
Hennessey’s elevation to CEO comes at an important time for the senior care industry. Nationwide, the aging population is growing at an unprecedented rate. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Baby Boomer population will represent more than 20 percent of the U.S. population by 2029 and about 70 percent of those 60 million people will require some form of long-term care. According to studies and research, senior care is a $400 billon industry in the U.S.
“I am excited and honored to be taking over as chief executive officer of Health Dimensions Group and to build on the great success we have enjoyed over the last 20 years.” Hennessey said.
“We are in a time of rapid change in our field; these changes, combined with the increase in demand for the senior services our partners provide, creates opportunity for us to provide our clients with the expertise and customized solutions that our many talented employees provide each day. I look forward to working to find new solutions for our many valued clients and to forming new relationships that make people’s lives better.”
Hennessey has been a leader, advisor, and executive director of skilled nursing, assisted living, and senior living communities located in several states. She is active in acute, post-acute, and senior services professional organizations providing educational resources, industry information, and support for members. She is a sought-after speaker at national and state meetings on a variety of topics, including senior health care, acute/post-acute integration, health care reform, value-based transformation, and planning for aging populations. Recently, she was named senior fellow with the BDO Center for Healthcare Excellence & Innovation.
“Erin is the perfect choice to lead the next exciting chapter of HDG. We have a new brand; a new logo; new products and services, but the same great team,” said Sergei Shvetzoff. “Erin exemplifies our company’s values and our commitment to exceeding customer expectations by providing our clients with the highest quality service and the most relevant tools in the industry. Further, she possesses a deep industry knowledge on the issues and opportunities facing senior care centers in the United States. Under her leadership we are primed for continued growth and success.”
Hennessey earned her master’s degree in gerontology from Bethel University and a bachelor of arts degree in business administration and legal studies from the University of St. Thomas. She also is a certified professional gerontologist and a licensed nursing home administrator.
