Helen Guthrie

VP, Senior Living Development & Operations

As vice president of senior living development and operations, Helen provides strategy and executive leadership for the operations of senior living communities under development by HDG and HDG’s clients. In 1999, Helen began her career in health care administration as a development manager for Anglican Retirement Villages of Australia, where she led a design team that created a new, person-centered model for caring for residents with dementia. Eight years later, she began her own consulting firm, Guthrie Consultants, Inc., and continued to develop communities for residents with dementia and those in need of skilled care. With Helen’s leadership, her clients have implemented new programs for analyzing market research, bringing refurbished apartments to market, creating shared financial services units, and building project management systems that support cross-functional teams.
